The idea for Ever Petite was born out of Avonne’s own struggles as a petite woman in a world where most clothing is designed for taller frames. After nearly losing a suitcase filled with hard-to-find petite clothing during a trip, Avonne realized how essential it was to have a dedicated space for petite fashion. With a background in IT and a passion for fashion, she merged her skills to create Ever Petite—a platform that not only offers shopping solutions but also empowers petite women to embrace their unique beauty.

The tipping point came during a trip when she nearly lost a suitcase filled with the hard-to-find petite clothing she had painstakingly curated over the years. It was in that moment of panic that she realized just how underserved petite women are in the fashion industry.

But this wasn’t just about clothes—it was about representation, about having a space where petite women could feel seen, understood, and celebrated. With over 12 years of experience in IT and an unwavering passion for fashion, Avonne knew she had the unique skill set to fill this gap. In January 2024, from the island in her kitchen, armed with nothing but an iPad Pro, a notebook, and an unstoppable drive, she began building Ever Petite.

What started as an idea quickly became a mission. The energy of knowing that this was her life’s work took over, fueling countless late nights and early mornings. The passion that ignited within her was unrelenting—this wasn’t just about creating a business; it was about creating a movement. Ever Petite became a platform dedicated to empowering petite women, offering more than just a shopping solution but a community where they could embrace their unique beauty.

Avonne’s journey is a testament to the power of purpose. Every decision, every step taken, is infused with the belief that petite is powerful, and that every woman deserves to feel confident and beautiful in her own skin. Originally from the small island of St. Croix, Avonne Thompson spent her adolescence in North Potomac, Maryland. A proud boy mom of two young sons and a Yorkie-Poo named Rupert Wentworth, Avonne is a passionate advocate for the petite community. When she’s not living and breathing Ever Petite, you can find her dancing, traveling the world, and spending time with her large extended family. Avonne’s journey as a working mom, entrepreneur, and advocate is a testament to her belief that every woman, no matter her height, deserves to feel powerful and beautiful.
