Hi, I’m Avonne Thompson, the founder and CEO of Ever Petite—a platform designed specifically for women 5’4” and under. As someone who stands at 4’11”, I’ve experienced the frustration of finding clothes that not only fit but also reflect my style. My journey with Ever Petite began during a work trip when I nearly lost my luggage filled with hard-to-find petite-sized clothing. That moment was a wake-up call, and it fueled my passion to create a solution for petite women who, like me, have felt overlooked by the fashion industry.
With over 12 years of experience in IT and a degree in Fashion Merchandising from The Ohio State University, I realized I could merge my technical skills with my love for fashion to build something truly unique. Ever Petite is more than just a shopping destination—it’s a resource hub designed to empower petite women by providing them with fashion that fits, alongside lifestyle content, fitness programs, and a supportive community.
When I’m not working on Ever Petite, I’m a proud mom to two energetic boys, aged 7 and 3, and a Yorkie-Poo named Rupert Wentworth. I’m originally from the small island of St. Croix, but I grew up in North Potomac, Maryland. My passions outside of advocating for petite women include dancing, traveling the world, and spending quality time with my large extended family.
Balancing motherhood, my career, and entrepreneurship has been challenging, but I remind myself daily how much I would regret not starting this movement. Ever Petite is more than a business to me—it’s my calling, and I’m committed to making the world a more inclusive and empowering place for petite women.
