Another Pivot — We’re Learnin’: A Real Talk on Our Delay

Let’s Get Honest for a Minute

When you’re building something that hasn’t existed before—a space, a platform, a movement—you don’t always get it right the first time. Or the second. Or the third.

Ever Petite has been in the works for a long time. And this past year, we’ve had to pause, pivot, regroup, and reframe… again.

But each of these pivots has made us better. Stronger. More intentional.

This is not just a blog post—it’s a check-in on where we’ve been, what we’ve learned, and where we’re going. Because if you’ve been watching us quietly (or if this is your first introduction to Ever Petite), I want to bring you in close—and let you see behind the curtain.

Why the Website Got Pushed Back

Our original plan was to launch everything—the partner directory, the community, the AI sizing tool, affiliate shopping, styling content, and more—all at once.

Too much, too soon.

We had great intentions, but what we needed was structure, clarity, and focus. We realized the site needed to be built in phases, and the new version of the website is just that—purposeful.

So what is the website now?

The upcoming launch is centered on delivering core value first:

  • A partner directory of vetted experts
  • Affiliate-integrated shopping
  • A filterable, centralized hub for petite-friendly tools and brands
  • Seamless access to our community and other live content

This clarity gives us space to grow—while giving you a more usable experience from day one.

Leaving Instagram & Facebook: The Meta Mess

One of the biggest blows was losing our original Instagram account. We were gaining real momentum—nearly 1,000 followers, growing interest, partners paying attention. Then: hacked.

Meta’s support process? Practically non-existent.

They tied my IP address to the old account and locked me out of creating new ones. I discovered this is incredibly common—and unfortunately, many “account recovery” companies are scams that can make it worse.

Instead of chasing fixes, I took a page from Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income podcast. He shared his own story of losing access to Meta and choosing to build on platforms he could control. That inspired me to pivot too.

So for now, we’re stepping away from Instagram and Facebook.

We’ll return in mid-summer 2025 when things cool off. In the meantime…

Where We’re Going From Here

The Community – LIVE and Growing

Yes, the community is live—and if you haven’t joined, this is your sign.

The Ever Petite Community on Circle is where everything comes together:

  • Weekly prompts and hot takes in Open Mic
  • Styling and wardrobe convos
  • Partner-only collaboration threads
  • Product reviews
  • Discounts and beta testing
  • Event drops, features, and more

We know communities can feel awkward when they’re new. But this one is ours. It’s not about pretending—we’re building it to reflect the real frustrations, joys, needs, and voices of petite women.

Let’s Talk About Burnout

I’m not going to pretend this has been easy.

I’m a mom. I work full time. I’m self-funding this entire operation.

And I’ve hit burnout—more than once.

But I’ve learned to give myself grace. To step back when needed.

Through my mindset group, trusted friends, and listening to voices like Pat Flynn, I remembered: burnout isn’t failure—it’s feedback.

As Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn, once said:

If you want to build something that lasts, you need a 10-year plan.

So that’s what I’ve committed to. Not a flash-in-the-pan launch. A legacy platform.

A Word on the Stylists & Profile Removal

To the stylists and experts who were unintentionally listed on the early version of our site—please accept my deepest apologies.

At the time, I truly thought I was helping. I believed featuring your name or service was a show of support.

But I now realize that even good intentions can miss the mark.

We’ve removed every profile that wasn’t under a signed partnership. And this pivot helped me realize something bigger:

Exclusivity brings clarity.

Mass listings dilute our mission. Moving forward, we are only partnering with people who are truly aligned with this vision—to shift the fashion and wellness industry for petite women.

That focus has been freeing. And it’s made our next version 10x stronger.

To Our Dev Team – And To You

I want to thank Andrew Lindsey and the New Biz team—they’ve been incredibly supportive through every pivot. The delays weren’t because they weren’t capable. Our initial dev team simply didn’t understand the full lift.

Andrew stepped in and has done an incredible job listening, adapting, and guiding his team to deliver what this platform truly requires.

To everyone else reading: thank you for being patient. Thank you for believing in Ever Petite.

What’s Still Coming (But Not Rushed)

  • The AI Sizing Tool is still in development. It’s massive, and I’m not rushing it. I want it to be accurate, tested, and genuinely helpful.
  • The Membership Platform is still coming—but only when we know we’re delivering value. We’re listening first. Building second.

Final Words: This Movement Is Real

Ever Petite isn’t just a brand. It’s a challenge to the industry.

It’s a call to see, design for, and respect petite women of all sizes and backgrounds.

It’s a platform that makes it easier to find clothes that fit, experts who get it, and tools that work.

And it’s a movement that only works if we build it together.

We’ve pivoted. We’ve learned.

Now we move—with power, purpose, and community.

Thank you for being here.
